MCI Rules and Regulations

Medical council of India has set certain MCI eligibility criteria for students who wish to study MBSS abroad. 
  • The candidate must complete the age of 17 years either on or before 31st Dec of the year of admission in MBBS course. 
  • The candidate must have passed CBSE or ISCE examination of class 12th. 
  • The candidate must have studied Physics, Chemistry, Biology with English in class 11th and 12th as prescribed by NCERT. 
  • He must have attained at least 50% in Physics, Chemistry, Biology in class 12th Boards. 
  • He should pass in English as well as overall pass in 12th Boards 
  • A certificate of eligibility along with prescribed fees to the MCI should be filed by the candidate 
  • If the student has passed MBBS from a foreign university, then he must get his degree attested by Indian embassy in that foreign country. 
  • On coming to India, he must pass a screening test with at least 50% marks. 
  • MCI will inspect each and every document and then issue certificate of registration for practice.
